5-Ingredient Cereal Bars

This breakfast and school-lunch savior comes to us courtesy Weelicious. Use any smooth nut or seed butter; mix-and-match favorite cereals to experiment with textures and flavors!

  • ½ cup honey
  • ½ cup smooth peanut butter (or any nut or seed butter)
  • 1 tablespoon coconut oil
  • 3 ½ cups cereal of choice
  • 1 cup old fashioned rolled oats

  1. Step 1

Place the first 3 ingredients in a pot over low heat, and stir until thoroughly combined and warmed through, about 2 minutes.

  2. Step 2

Place the cereal and oats in a large bowl and stir to combine.

    Sous Tip:

If desired, oats can be toasted in a 350°F oven for 10-15 minutes for a more “toasty” flavor.

  3. Step 3

Pour the warm peanut butter mixture over the cereal and stir to coat the dry ingredients thoroughly.

  4. Step 4

Place the mixture into a parchment-lined 9-by-9-inch baking pan, gently pressing down into bars.

  5. Step 5

Freeze the mixture for at least 30 minutes.

  6. Step 6

Remove the bars from the pan onto a cutting board and use a serrated knife to cut into the bars.
